How to play: The Dog Twister features sliding triangular pieces that hide treat compartments. The white handles placed on the side of the toy locks the sliding pieces in place when you push them in, and your dog has to pull out the handles to unlock the pieces in order to slide them and reach the treats. Here's the simplest instruction for this game:
- Pull handles out to unlocked position to slide paw panels. Place treats or kibble in compartments.
- Line up sliding paw panels and lock them in place by pushing handles in.
- Leave handles in the unlocked position and offset paw panels so your dog can smell and access treats easier.
Increase difficulty: If your dog is good at solving puzzles, introduce them to a new challenge by simply pushing in the white handles to lock all bricks on top..

Challenging and unique
This had the desired effect and stumped my labrador pup (5.5 mo), getting her thinking and working a bit harder than her other puzzles. I might have stepped it up too quickly with this one and should have started with the tabs all released - she got frustrated and pulled out some of the panels. Despite this it's still in working order and I'm hoping it wil lstand up to regular rotation. Love this whole range - wish there were more level 3 options!
